Art and I is a love story... The saying that if you let them go and they are meant to be, they will be back was so true. Ever since I can remember, I had a pencil in my hands (newer generations remember we didn't have tablets in the late 80s and early 90s); I would draw comic book characters and cartoons. There were two sketches that I could do by memory and it was my doodle for when I was bored in class or didn’t have anything to do. They were Bugs Bunny, my favorite Looney Tunes and the Chicago Bulls logo, my favorite NBA team at the time because of Michael Jordan. My dream was to become a comic book artist, but at 12, I got into looking at maps of cities, towns and states; oh boy, I remember receiving my first World Atlas for an Xmas present. I was super happy. I learned how to draw and sketch maps like Rand Mcnally, which by the way, these maps covered my walls instead of posters of girls or sports athletes. The maps I drew were about made-up cities in my imaginary world. Of course, the capital of this fictional country was Edgar City. Hahaha. At this time, I had dedicated my time to drawing maps and not sketching cartoons, so to keep this story short, I stopped drawing altogether because of the discouraging advice from certain people in my life at the time. Time passed, and at 32, she returned: art, that's she. TO BE CONTINUED
I left yall in suspense, huh?
